About the Celebration Cruise Ship!

Have you ever wondered about the Celebration Crusie Ship and how it landed at the Lake of the Ozarks? For starters, The Celebration is the largest cruise ship on Lake of the Ozarks! It is over 80 feet in length with a 20 ft beam (width) and a draft of 4.5 feet. The Celebration boat was the first vessel in our fleet to cruise the lake. Since Celebration set sail when we opened up for business, we have added The Celebration II and the brand new Lake Water Hopper! We offer the best cruise at the Lake of the Ozarks aboard The Celebration Cruise Ship. Learn more about our vessel in this weeks blog!

About The Celebration

The ship was built in Lacrosse Wisconsin by Skipperliner it was launch in In 1997 in the Lake. The celebration was brought to the Lake from Wisconsin by a truck in two sections, the hull & main deck on one truck, the top deck on a second truck and additional equipment on a third truck. The trip took over a week as special permits and an escort were required as the convoy crossed the states between Wisconsin and Missouri.

Once at the lake the top deck was “married” to the main deck and Welded in place then launched at Shawnee Bend Access ramp.

The Celebration is constructed of marine grade steel and powered by 2 Caterpillar 3119 marine diesel engines with each engine generating 205 horsepower. Onboard electrical generation is provided by a 50 KW. Sanford generator powered by a Cummins 6BTA diesel engine.

The Celebration is a United States Coast Guard inspected vessel certified to carry 149 passengers and 7 crew. Annual inspections of the ship are required and the crew must satisfactorily perform safety drills including Fire, Man Overboard, and Abandon Ship.
